rear speaker removal on 97 corolla CE

hey ya, i'm planning on surprising my girlfriend with new speakers in her 97 corolla, it's a CE, which means it doesn't have folding seats. so thats my problem, i don't know how to get to the speakers on the back dash area. in my 97 dx, all i would have to do is fold down the seats, then i could remove the panel on the rear dash and get to the speakers.

she has the stock speakers...terrible sounding, she totally blew them out

    help me out please!

Go in from the trunk... you'll probably need a flashlight

you think they are mounted under the back panel? in my corolla, they were mounted above the panel, you had to remove the hardware from from the top...i'll check it out

If you remove the lower cushion it will reveal the screws for the back cushion. You lift the lower cushion while pushing back at the left and right seating area to release the cushion.
