    It's actually 6.. 86 mustang is even worse, it starts at 4k. Not sure if it's still that bad on the new ones. I drove a 96 civic, and it starts at 6.5 (woo, you get a hole 500rpm more). I think toyota actually makes it lower so people don't drive stupid and blame them for a poorly built car.
