The Xplodes hit best unless you go for the Rockford's component set, two 6.5's with tweets. And I hate Sony speakers so that says a good bit.

At least from the not so expensive speaker lines anyway. Pioneer, Kenwood, Dual aren't better at all.

6.5" speakers arent made to play low. if you want bass get subs.

I have the infinity kappa's and the base is moderate... articulated but not deep at all... nowhere my friends JBL's... Most sound you hear anyways should be coming from the front... I suggest getting 4" front with external tweeters and 6.5 woofers for the rear.

ya i had 6.5 woofers before blew em :( .. so get xplods blew those got another pair under warranty.. lol.. but now i wont blow em cuz i got phoenix gold subz so they r set on low... but ya if u want bass u gotta get the 6.5 subz.. but ur gunna lose the highz.. so u gotta get some tweeters.

The JL XR series, DLS, Focal, MB Quart Q series, and Phoenix Gold Elites have great midbass.

Xplod sucks and will do just that Xplod.

Also, you wont find a 6.5 that can take the place of a sub. You would have to be willing to give up some bass.
