New stuff for the Corolla...

I learned what corolla means. It's the group of pedals on a flower. Neat. Ok.

The car...



-American Racing Type SR 686 Chrome 16x7 wheels

-Yokohama Avid H4S 205/45HR16 tires

-Clear corners. (made in taiwan with a not so great glue job that only I would be anal enough to notice... and smooth out with my dremel tool. but not bad lookin at all)

-Window visors. I got them on ebay for $45 shipped, great price. I originally got some from Symmic on ebay. They sent me the wrong ones, and then told me they dont carry the corolla model anymore and refunded my money. They kinda sketchy and artificially inflate their shipping prices.



Changed all the lights to RED.



Made myself a nice TRD sticker for the radiator cap. (which now has japanese warning text.)



Bought Vamp's old TRD oil cap, refurbished the finish and made a custom TRD label.



Made a custom Corolla S sticker for my steering wheel.



Tryed this out and didn't like it so I took it off...



Been working on prototype door sill plates...

I'm going to tint the windows next... and then get some body parts, and a hood scoop. Then drop the front a little and raise the rear a tad. Then get a new muffler. Then get n02. Then put a computer in my car with a touchscreen or standard LCD. Then I'm DONE!

How'd you get car color coded vynil for your tail lights? I've been planning to do that to my rolla also.

I used some duplicolor and spraypainted the vinyl.

Yes it does. The metal flake size in duplicolor was a little larger than the toyota paint, but from 3 ft away you can't even tell. Vamp told me Plasticoat paint matches really well also.

plasticoat thats what I used on my engine cover. ( wanted it to match my CAI)

Good stuff almost perfect match would like a little deeper clear coat finish though.

how'd you change your clock to red?

Tourismo: Yeah, even the radiator cap. The stock sheet material comes in 24"x48". It's a two layer acrylic. Very thin. The base layer is a metalized acrylic, which looks similar to mylar. The top layer which is the black is a microsurface acrylic. The engraver vaporizes or etches away the top layer revealing the under surface. Thats how I get an image on there. The back side of the material has a high temp acrylic adhesive. It's just a really cool sticker.

Sddynamix: Thanks! I've got this stuff called Rubylith. It's a thin transparent red film used to block out UV light for making different types of positives. Screenprinting and vinyl graphics shops use this on occasion. I took apart the clock module and just stuck a peice of this rubylith to the inside of the lens. It sticks without adhesive because it's so thin. It beats the heck out of painting it. You could probably use some kind of red film from a craft or hobby store.
