    patching hole in dash

okay, i have a hole in my dash and the only junkyard i found that had corolla's had the wrong color interior pieces. so my question is how would i go about patching a hole in my dash? (its a tad bigger than the size of a quarter)

Why not just use bondo? Apply some bondo over it, use a little spatula, then even it out.

Let it dry and then sand it, that simple.

i never thought of bondo... isnt it basically like drywall patch? (although a good bump to it may make it crack and/or crumble i guess)

I was thinking fiberglass as well. But you would have to be careful. That stuff is messy. Also remember that you are going to have to color match the patched whole. Does our interior even have a color?????

Nah, they use heavy duty bondo on cars.

The thing is, don't put it directly on the whole, you need to get a piece of plastic filler or something to put in the hole, the bondo is just to cover it after you have the hole patched.

Not sure what you could use for plastic filler, but I am sure there is some out there, just like there is wood filler.

i went to walmart and found some bondo puddy thats kinda in a tube like epoxy or glue.. i figured maybe i could use it as patch and forgo the need for an actual plastic patch.
