Altis anyone?

    did you mean you have a corolla built in japan? some of the 03-04 LE's are built in japan. otherwise, no idea. the japanese corolla has 3 different engines, and can also come 4wd. you know the difference based on the headlights. the japanese headlights are tall like celica ones, but the us corollas and altis have horizontal lenses. if you have oval headlamps you have a euro/AU model corolla. the 03-04 US corolla has the same body style as the 02+ altis, maybe that's why you keep hearing they are the same.

    not all japan corolla hav S model only corolla fielder, and corolla runx comes w/ s model... the corolla line-up include corolla sedan, corolla fielder(corolla station wagon), corolla runx(corolla hatchback), corolla Spacio, (corolla tall short hatch back) and Toyota Voltz which = Pontiac vibe = Toyota Matrix... they all come w/ optional for 1.8L 1ZZ-FE, 1.5L 1NZ-FE, 1.3L 2NZ-FE, and 1.8L 2ZZ-GE plus some of the engines comes w/ optional 4WD

    Altis anyone?

    Ok, I am a newbie so please flame on. But I would love to know more about the Japanese Altis. I do know that it has a diffrent clip on, and badges, and it is the regular corolla here. I would love to know more about this car, I just can't seem to find much as in the diffrences. Like does it make more power or handle better, I want to know everything. Thanks

    altis model have been around for a while in asia, not just a taiwan model. depending on which country, it comes in 1.6L also. the new altis in asia have LED tail lights and seems like they have more chrome on the body. also have those back-up sensors built into the rear bumper.
