    MR2 MKII thoughts. Pro's and Con's

Im looking at getting an MR2 91-94, more like a 92 probably. If someone here owns one what are your opinions on it. Or someone that knows someone with one. Im talking more turbo version here. Thats what i would be getting. Also, if you know of any MR2 message boards, link me.

You gotta be careful with MR2's dude. They ain't no Corolla. 91-92 models have a suspension with a tendency to snap oversteer. 93-up have that fixed but those go for more. So before you go out racing and doing crazy stuff to it, learn to drive the car. Also be careful when driving it in the rain. You just gotta be careful with it or else you'll find yourself spinning. But other than that, they can be great cars. 300HP can be easily achieved on the 3S-GTE.

    i own a '91 N/A Mister 2.

    it's a great car. but as bladder_master said...this ain't a corolla.

in the MR2 community, many MR2's have bit the dust due to people thinking they can drive the car exactly the same way driving a FF car.

choosing N/A over turbo depends on what you want to do with the car.

for obvious reasons, the turbo is great at the straight line. many people have hp levels over 300hp with the 3S-GTE.

many of the auto-x lovers believe in the N/A. there have been numerous events where N/A just seriously outperformed the turbo model.

for insurance purposes, it's always cheaper to go N/A.

N/A is priced cheaper. Turbo's are overpriced at the moment.

If one really wants a turbo, one can always buy the N/A and swap in the JDM 3S-GTE.

i highly recommend going to the www.mr2oc.com board.

haha..i was just there before i went on to this one.

if this will be your first MR car, i recommend getting the N/A. the low power will let you understand what MR is all about.
