    Yeah, most cops are required to get tased and/or pepper sprayed. Makes you think twice before using it.

    The taser must've been toned down though. Normally you end up on the floor in agony instead of laughing like a hyeena. :rolleyes:

    The point of getting tazerd, peppered sprayed, and put in the gas chamber is so that you are acclimated with the effects and the feelings, so when you are out in the field, and you happen to get accidently sprayed or tazered, you are mentally prepared to handle it, instead of the shock value of the 1st time hitting you in addition to the physicalities of it. Officers get sprayed many times..especially when they are in a struggle with a suspect and other officers. An officer isnt going to think "Hmm..maybe Ill not use this because I may get some in my eyes..."

    Baltimore city Police uses a gas chamber...you walk in in a mask, and after the gas is released, you have to take off your mask and recite your number, name, and spell your state. Majority of the recruits end up puking, hacking, coughing, etc.

    In FL, you get sprayed also..I'm 99% sure that you get hit with a taser as well.

    in regards to the gas chamber you were talkin about...my cousin is a 4-5 year Marine now n when he first went to basic, he told me he had to do the same thing, which ya kno, i expected that from the military newayz...but he said when they got in, they too wore the masks and when they turned on the gas, they were all ordered to take them off and they had to learn to live in a gased environment and how to breath in it....he said they sat there for somewhere around 10 minutes and guys around him were passing out, hackin, puking, and also, that when your in there for a certain amount of time, your nose has alot of drainage and releases alot of mucous...he said his nose was like a water faucet for most of the time...i dunno if id rather be tasered than gased...bout neither
