    Intake for 05 Rolla?!?

I've checked other threads and found no direct answers so here goes: Is there a SRI or CAI available for 05 Rollas? I've noticed 2 things that are different on the 05's opposed to the 04's and 03's (my aunt has an 03). 1) the location of the throttle cable is in an entirely different location. 2) there is a fat black tube that runs from the manifold to the stock intake tube (between the throttle body and MAF). I can't find an intake for my 05 nowhere, and I've been told by several people that an 04 or 03 intake will not fit my 05. Somebody freakin' help! Did Toyota flip the script for 05? Am I SOL? I need expert advice here!

It's not out yet, there was a thread about this just the other day and someone mentioned one company that should be releasing one soon.

    Just make one custom :)

    Moved to Powertrain.

Exactly, there is no intake released for the 05 yet, but AEM will be the first. You can check all the million threads over at www.9thgencorolla.com for some more info.

no sorry no link...I remember reading about it on the forum or some other forum a long time ago when I was in your dilema. I have a modified AEM sri from an 03/04 on my car. The fat black tube that runs from the manifold to the stock intake tube that you were talking about you can put a breather on it or did what I did and replace that tube with a longer tube and you can get it at like autozone.

Yeah I have an 05 LE what do you have? I haven't checked out the xrs models to see if they were the same or not. I got the 03/04 aem sri that I got fit into my 05 pretty nicely. Just make sure you have it securely mounted onto the chaisis and that you have it securely on the throttle body. I found that out the hard way. But you might have to mess around with it to get it to securely stay on. and the fat tube that you were talking about. That needs to be replaced with a breather or what i did was go to autozone and take the tube or hose and have them give me a longer piece. I think i got 2 or 3 feet of it and then measured it and cut it to size. The intake works great and I've had it on there for about 7000+ miles and no problem with it and I even took it to the dealership recently to have them change my oil and filter and rotate my tires and check everything and they didn't find anything wrong with the car. Yes they looked at the intake and marvelled at it...haha. (I fractured my tibia and not suppose to be putting weight on it) Love the sound of it. If you have questions pm me.

Loan Dr. there are couple of ways you can do it. So it is possible to do an intake for an 05. My looks just like the picture that frost has up. Good luck with it and if you have any questions post up or pm Frost or me. I'm sure you'll get all your questions answered.

I haven't had any problems with it and I've had it for over 7000 miles now and even went to the toyota dealership recently when I had to change my oil (free) and had them check the car out and they couldn't find anything wrong with the car and no problems with it.

    Good luck
