Right Front speaker making odd noises

I just got a stock head unit put in my car and now my right front speaker is making a sound like it's got lots of static most the time. Only the right front. Could it be because I got the + and - mixed up and they just need switching or is the speaker fried?

When I get the spacer will it cause a problem with fitment of the door panel?

Also, how do you remove the door panel? It is two pieces right, bottom first? And how do you take the armrest/door handle piece off?

When you replace the fronts you will need a 3/4" to 1" spacer to prevent glass from hitting magnet when window rolled all the way down. CW

the dependz on the depth of the speaker, my 1st 6 1/2" fit fine, but just recently I got much better speakerz and then I used a spacer cuz of the mounting depth of them

Correct, the shallow basket type speaker probably would clear the glass.

3/4" should be about perfect anything over and it will affect the door panel (but not bad by any means) I have a 1" and it is ok

If you have the pwr options you can GENTLY & CAREFULLY pry the rear sections of the switch insert panel and lift out and unplug, also the handle used to close lifts out the same and the screws are revealed, there is one screw in the inside door handle. The bottom edge has plastic pins that pop out to remove and lift up to remove panel.

There is a DIY somewhere on this procedure. That is where I learned.

There should be a little metal clip on the backside shaped similar to U Push the door panel back near the crank. Try to hook it to pull it off. There is a tool to remove it but you dont need it.

Installing it back is a little bit of a trick, But not impossible.
