    Finished my exhaust last night

I finish my exhaust last night. I went with a full 3" exhaust with 1 magnaflow cat and a flowmaster 40 series muffler. It sounds awesome, it's super deep and loud.

I still have to put another hanger or two on it to stop it from rattling, and I have to install the second O2 sensor bung so my CEL wil go away. I also have a leak somewhere, I'm not sure if it's exhaust or oil. I think it might be oil from the oil drain flange. (it looks like my engine is on fire the way it smokes..lol

I would get pictures...but my muffler just fell off while I was driving back to work from lunch. Guess that weld wasn't too good lol. I had to run out in the street and pick it up and throw it in my trunk. So I now I'm running mufflerless untill I can weld it up there again.

It was a trial run. You can't just fabricate something like that and expect it to work perfect. You have to run it and check for problems. It's only been on the car since last night. It's hard to weld under a car in the fucking dark, that's why I didn't finish putting the hangers on, that's why I didn't fix the leak yet, that's why I don't have the second O2 sensor hooked up, and that's why the muffler fell off.

New Rule ***You can not use the word rice when refering to a car that's faster than your own***

no, it just got scratched a little bit.....after I looked at it, I think what hapened was, I had it to close to the rear crossmember, and it came up and hit the weld. so I'll have to route it a little better when I put it back on.

My brother welded it....he's actually a pretty good welder, I guess it was just a fluke. We'll probably get it welded up there again today. I think I'm going to try to use a slip fit on that weld, it was just two same size pipes welded together.

Dude, what's your fucking problem? Are you 13 or something? Quit being so childish. If you really want to know, that's all my brother does at work is weld, he works in a fabrication shop. He works on dump trucks, and big ass work trucks, and before that he used to build deck scrubers for ships. so what if one weld out of all the welds on the exhaust broke. Mistakes happen, no matter how good you are at something. This is a thread about my exhaust, not a bitching contest. So fucking quit before you get my thread locked.

I think that you should of waited if the job was that risky at night?

Although I don't see how if you can get the car high enough to weld the entire exhaust system on, that you can't put a spotlight on it?

Sounds like he just tacked it, if it is going to fall off by itself.

Anyways hope you get it fixed. I would also like to see some pictures.

i was just thinking why did you have it welded in the dark? was that a personal challenge for your brother?

i would think that if you are going to do the job right you are going to work in the light and you are not going to drive the car until the job is finished meaning your welds are proper and complete, your hangers are on, your leaks are fixed, and your oxygen sensor is in.

Yeah well, when your using someone else garage, you can't just leave the car there until it's done. I was plannin on taking it back over there this week sometime so we could finish it anyway...so it's not really a big deal.
