    Suspension: lowering help?

I need some help/suggestions on lowering my 05 rolla. Right now I'm interested in either the Tein s-tech or h-tech springs with maybe some tokicos, but I'm not sure if Tokico make any for that year yet.

I'm also interested in coilovers too, but the tein coilovers are way to expensive for me so is there any other options out there that you guys would recommend?

And if you know of a good place to get them too that would be helpful and what the ride was like with them.

    Thanks

I don't know? Suspension isn't my thing. Maybe it is just struts.

I don't got coil-overs, however, I did install Eibach pro-kit springs for my 05 and it sits really nice and rides hella smooth. Paired with those stock MacPherson struts- you'll be good to go.

03+'s have struts upfront, shocks, spring on back reason being is that they went from independent suspension on the back to rigid beam, talk about going back in innovation!

wow thanks for the info laz. Way to look out.

This is directly from Toyota's site on the 05 corolla
Suspension= Independent MacPherson strut front, torsion beam rear suspension with front and rear stabilizer bars.

What is a torsion beam rear supension? Is it coil springs and shocks?

And what do you suggest shocks and struts wise with the tein s-tech springs?

NP but there are really only very few products for the back suspension on a 03+ Yes the torsion beam is the rigid beam in back. It uses shocks and springs as opposed to struts. Go here www.tirerack.com and look under suspension to see what they have to offerl.

    Good luck,

Thanks DjFrost and laz. I just ordered the s-tech springs yesterday and that was the cheapest I could find including looking on ebay.

Do I just need to replace the shocks and springs? All I could find is Koni for the shocks on tirerack and I haven't heard too many good things about them.

I was thinking gr2 struts in the front and for the rear I'm not sure since it caught me by surprise. Any recommendations would be appreciated.

Have anyone had experience with the Koni sport with tein s-tech springs? or Koni sport in general? and what are their reputation?

Been looking around at the other forums and so far the responses that I've gotten is that Koni yellows are the only thing out for an 05. Is that true?
