tint or not

i've been wondering if i should tint my car. i have a indigo ink pearl (blue) 04 corolla. what would look better tinted or not?

tint helps all cars and makes the interior much cooler, calmer, and pleasantly dim, but as for looks it doesn't hurt a car at all. lighter colors can really be showed off by tint, like it sets the car off, its a big change and an obvious improvement, but all cars could use it, i say go for it!

Tint makes a big difference. I know in my mom Accord it helps protect the leather and it keeps it alot cooler. I don't have it on my car, but my next car will deffinatley get it.

the comfort factor in my car has increased tenfold at least...and it looks DAMNED good.

yes def get it..i have a black 03 rolla and it keeps my inside cool..and im in sunny miami florida and it gets hott as hell down here..it will make your car look very good..

yea.. i agree with everyone else on this... i will say this... u might as well get it professionally done too... I did it twice with friends to my ride... and while it looks decent.. it just doesn't compare and is a pain to take all the glue off urself if u ever do re tint it professionally

I have mines tinted all around and the inside dont feel any cooler..

the color u have would look real nice and classy with 35% all around.
light color makes a small car look big. dark colored car makes a car look small. with your color, light tint makes your car look bigger and classier. just my opinion.

park your tinted car under the hot sun with all windows closed and find a same car as yours with no tint, park it beside yours. after a few hours, get inside each car and i guarantee you that you will feel the difference.

Now the question he will ask next. What % of tint to get. I personally like my 20% all around (except front of course). It changed the look of my car, i love it.

As for the people talkin about not as hot car. It really doesnt make much of a difference. If you run into store for 5-10minutes you may notice difference, but leaving for a few hours, between both i really doubt youd notice difference, cause the heat as already gotten to both badly.

Well what most of my friends do is they get the front windows and rear window legal, 32%. The rear passenger windows at like 15% and the sunstrip the same. Haveing darker back winds and a darker sunstrip can acutally make your car look darker.

BEFORE you tint, make sure you know what's legal in your state. usually, if you call up the local police station, you can find out easily enough(just be polite and they're usually pretty cordial).

then, once you know what you can do without being pulled over, you know what your options are...it makes it a lot easier to decide.

Ya also take into consideration any tint that is illegal in your state has to be paided for in cash. You usually get no reciept and maybe even no warrenty. Since the tint is illegal it is illegal for him to do it. So he keeps it on the DL.

u should at least get 5%in the back windows cuz everyone i know who got light tint wishs they did, oh and thats what i have too.

Mike - that depends on the area you're in. my tint place does illegal tints, but they make the buyer sign a waiver acknowledging they've purchased illegals, and that the warrantee doesn't apply to them.

hey falnfenix....what shop did you go to for your tint? and how much did it run you? and where exactly is the shop located?

i went to D&L window tinting in White Marsh. it's not too terribly far from you...they have a great reputation, warrantee on the life of the tint, and for a 4-door vehicle for legal tint it's under $200.

they're usually able to take people right away, too. and trust me, it's worth the drive. if there's an open bay, they'll have you in and out in 40 minutes...hell, they started on mine while i was still in the office paying for it.
