Wow! So much fun to watch this video. Although, I would never want to do something like this. These people have the reflexes of fighter pilots. The 2ZZ GE engine rules big time!!!!! They use it in a lot of racing cars in Japan. I can't wait to see how the Corolla XRS does with this awesome engine.

it wont do any better than the celica gts...the engine seriously needs after market cams. real bad. the k20 is kicking the 2zz's ass on the streets.

You are making a big generalization here. One of the things is that the in North America, 2ZZ GE does not nearly have as much mods and performance parts available as K20. In Japab, 2ZZ GE is one of the most favorite engines for racing cars because they have a long list of mods available for the 2ZZ GE. The MR-S in this video is an example. For stock on stock, everyone knows that K20 comes into flavors, one in the Type S and the base. The stock 2ZZ GE blows the door off the base model 160 HP RSX, but loses out to the type S because of the 20 extra HP in the Type S...doh. If they start offering a supercharger (only available for the 1ZZ FE engine) and more performance parts for the 2ZZ GE then it would be only fair to say you will see a lot of RSX Type S getting whooped by the 2ZZ GE like you see in this video.

Can i ask why your comparing a base rsx to a celica gts?
stock for stock the gts and rsx-s are equal(Drivers race). I dunno about u but i wasnt talking about Japanese streets. IN AMERICA....a modded gts CANNOT hang wit a modded rsx-s simply because the k20 has alot more aftermarket parts. The 2zz can only make soo much hp on stock cams. Also if the 2zz is soo popular on the streets of japan then why dont i see any parts making it over here? I think ur confusing the japanese streets with japanese race tracks.

Stock RSX Coupe and RSX Type S both have k20 engine in them. The Type S is tuned to deliver more performanace. It is not that the GT-S can NEVER beat the Type S. I have a video of a GT-S smoking an RSX Type S on my hard drive.

    base rsx = k20a3
    RSX-s = k20a2

GT-S and RSX-S are equal. Sure the RSX-S has 20 more HP, but the GT-S makes up for it in weight. Cams is the only thing holding back the GT-S. Up until now is when the GT-S is hitting mid-13's.
