    The Supra will be back

I jus dropped my car off at the dealer for warrenty engine work. While i was waiting for the shuttle ride home i decided to check out the Celica gts with the new action package. After a while a salemen came up to me and i asked if i could sit in the car.(i couldnt test drive cuz the car was sold already) Anyways we started talkin bout the XRS and the TC and he told me the Supra will be coming out for 2005 or 2006. He said its gunna be cheaper and just as fast if not faster than the last one. They are looking for it to compete with the 350z. I cant afford one but damn i cant wait to see it.

be careful what you believe from car salesman. i've dealt with several who knew less about the cars they were selling than I knew. I'll believe that statement when Toyota makes an official statement. I had a car salesman tell me that there would be a camaro and firebird rebirth in 2005. Not gonna happen, according to GM.

There's only one kind of Supra and if this 2005 ever comes out wit its' shit tweeked then it's not a true Supra....and if Toyota will sell it for cheaper then they have no idea wut they're doing cause there will be more buyers and wut keeps the Supra as a unique car man is that it's expensive and that u don't see it like any other car u kno..... and about the power at least lets hope they keep it around the old Supra's power if they at least want to sell cuz I've heard the looks are SHITTY!! man cause if it lacks of power and then it lacks of lookz too THERE IS NO WAY that car will last too long in the market since ppl r lookin 4 performance and lookz diz days and a Supra dat lacks of both power and lookz wouldn't sound too good ...but that's just me.

I remember them talking about a concept Supra coming out in 2005... but the power wasn't all that impressive.. hopefully they've changed that.

I read somewhere (i think it was autocar, a UK car mag) an interview with the president of toyota that as soon as toyota wins an f1 race they could have a sports car out with in 6 months

Its very well likely that a sports car will be released though, Its taking too much of a chance bringing back the dead. Look at the Mercury marauder. I think they sold like 5 percent of what they wanted to sell. In the second production they dropped the price by 5 grand and it still didn't sell good.

I don't believe that for shit. The new Supra is going to compete with 350z's. Is that sopose to mean taht a 94 TT can't. Thats stupid. No way.

You really don't need big HP to compete with cars like the 350Z. All you need is a light body with a decently powered engine. Take the Lotus Elise for example.

I agree with you on this one Rida........salesman are hired because they're supposed to know about the specs of the car and answer questions from the costumer but here in CO they're highly ignant. My dad wanted to buy a Land Cruiser for his wife and I asked him the usual questions.....like how many ls of torque and how many HP and wut kinda engine......believe it or not he worked there for like 4 yrs and he did not have a clue about it....he had to check with his boss and shit man....I mean how embarrasing is that, we even know more than they do....shit we should sell man lol

I wouldn't call that being dumb man because for the car industry to sell they need to please the costumer man not please themselves and even if they plan to do so by selling a lot they can't do it if they don't plz the costumer.....plus u need to make ur money spent worth. So far I wouldn't spend a dime on the new Toyota line they got nothin interestin at least for me. Like that MR2 Spyder is slow to be a sports car I mean ppl buy sports car because they like the speed as well as the looks man...I mean really come on think about it

i got faith...think about it...toyota is losing that market to the 350z....they need to get back this capitol. Toyota aint stupid....whether its a "supra" or not....they need a sports car. I dont really beileve an actually "supra" will come out but there will be a competitor coming.
