Removing child safety hooks

I was trying to open up my rear deck, when i noticed i had to remove the 3 child safety hooks that are held by bolts inside the trunk. I figured they are bolts #15 but man... these bolts are a bitch. I cant seem to budge them loose, am i missing something, is there some special trick to getting them out?
Btw: its a 2001 Corolla CE.

Do you have the folding rear seats? Mine doesn't and I'm wanting to pull that particular piece off to redo it for my custom interior. Can you tell me how to remove the whole thing?

Nah... i dont have folding rear seats. All you have to do is by the trunk push up the 3rd brake light and take off the 3 bolts holding the child safety hooks. Then the top just slides right off.

My problem is with the bolts on the safety hooks... they're a bitch to take off... very unconfortable also since two of them have small mounts wich obstruct you trying to loosen them up with a wrench.

I don't know if mine are the only ones like these... so if someone has gotten theses little f*kers out.. give me some advice.

NOT THE BOTTOM NUTS ( I did the same thing) Pop off the plastic covers on top (back edges out and up to remove) That will expose the bolt to remove from top. CW
