    rims

i wanna get some new rims, i got hubcaps right now..and i like the style of 2000 SI rims or the 94-97 GSR fat five rims..i was wondering how they would look on my car so i did a little chop..and just wondered what you guys thought of it..both were just rough chops just to get a picture..but in the end, i would paint the rims black or gunmetal..

    with si rims

which do you guys like better? both are 15x6.5..and the proportions aren't exact on the chops...

edit: and oh yeah, i know there would be a couple people thats gonna mention the H center cap..dont worry, imma paint that over with black so it wont show one bit..=P

well i'm kinda on a budget, and i dont wnat to pay 600 dollars for rims, i could just pick these up used from the shop down the street..they have a lot of hondas going in and some of them are super wrecked, and those were the only rims i saw..but i could get some LS rims for cheap but i dont like the style..anyone else got some other rims in mind that i can get cheap?

everything on wheelmax is like 600+ dollars...i dont have that much right now to spend on rims..so i'm lookin for the 300 dollar range..i'm not gonna stick with these rims forever..just for a while cause my car looks funky lowered on hubcaps or steelies..

i guess i'm wierd...i'd see if you could get a set of used 15's or something off the forums, and just keep them as winter rims.

that's what i'm doing...or contact this dude over at Corolla Customz about his...

well if i get some rims, there's no point of having them just for winter..cause i have no winter here in san francisco, it's always 50-70 degrees year round lol..if i get rims i'd keep them on the whole time

then why not wait till you can afford rims instead of getting these?

who cares if your car's on steelies for a little longer? in all seriousness...why buy two sets if you're going to just use the one? i mean sure you can sell off the honda wheels, but those are less likely to sell than a true set of aftermarket rims.

    BTW - i didn't notice your location..sorry about that..

so i'm taking you dont like those rims? lol..but if i do buy rims, they'll be the same style only a bit bigger..17" instead of the honda 15"..

personally..i'm leaning towards on the GSR phat 5's because they look better IMO..even though they're 15"..they're good for daily driving i guess..nothing to flashy or crazy..and if they get messed up, i wont get too pissed..

    how about them in silver?
    or these exel f1's?

see...i like them. i have nothing against the hondas...aside that it seems you're wasting your money for temporary wheels.

Those wheels in good shape are extremely expensive. Wheelmax runs packages for a total price of $560 for 17's with a good set of tires.

the exel F1's. or some rota's. i want some rota's. i am tired of my 17's.

i agree with not getting two sets of rims. save for what you want. steelies are ok!

i guess you guys are all right..there is really no point of buying rims and later changing them for other ones..i might just get some 17" exel f1's in gunmetal or silver..
