    Carbon Fiber Dash

I don't have my Corolla anymore but here are some dash pics of my Spec V

Got it done by TWN Industries. These guys are amazing and cool too. If you want their number or email, let me know. What do you guys think. I am getting some more done also. If you are interested, let me know and I can give you theirs or a local decorator's number or email and location. They teach people around the country.

I'll assume those aren't the stickers they sell on ebay. :) Either way, it looks good. How much did it cost ya?

I'm used to seeing carbon fiber crisscross in a lattice or x pattern and that looks like straight lines w/o crosses, all parallel, but it still looks really good. where are you and your shop located?

It’s real carbon fiber. My friend got it for his Eclipse. It cost 140 dollars. And yes if came off eBay.

It is not real carbon fiber. It is not off eBay and it is all custom. Nobody has it like this in a car like mine.

TWN Industries did it all for me as a sponsorship.
I sent in my parts and they prepped them and dipped them, then sent it back.

    Looks pretty good in person.

Let me know if anyone is interested and I can give you infor on it.

To the best of my knowledge carbon fiber isn't a dip process. It is a layered process very much like fiberglass. Also, they use a weave in carbon fiber for structural integrity which as previously stated is not there.

As quoted by me it is not carbon fiber but a water transfer process.

You never gave me the info over on B15sentra.net. I really like how it looks and would be interested in possibly getting some pieces done. Let me know whats up.

I will look at it again. I am pretty sure it is. It’s about a 10 mm thick. Also I have seen actual replacement pieces on some Hondas that are completely carbon fiber. Like the Dash Bezel, The whole center console. Door handles. And some other interior pieces.

    You're pretty sure what is.

Mine is all done by TWN Industries.
    Here is the entire process.

    Sanded and primed

    base coated

A film is laid on top of the water then a solution is applied and it turns to an ink like stage.

    dipped in a stainless tank

the film is then transferred to the piece when it is dunked

after, a clear automotive coat is applied

it is then buffed and polished.

Hope that helps. This is the same process done of the very very expensive wood grain dashes.
