    Is there a good 93-97 Cat-back?

Anyone have a cat-back for their AE101? I've come across one made by OBX and was curious if anyone had experience with it.

Bleh.. stay clear of OBX.... my recommendation, would be to have it custom made by a muffler shop. It will be a lot cheaper and get you the same effect.

Up to you if you want stainless steel and mandrel bends... but for a N/A application, crappy ole steel pipe and crush bends will do the trick and keep the cost way down.

Forza tuning??? WTF is that? OBX is written on the box though...wierd!

OH btw, this IS model number EX9397-standard for all 93-97 corollas-i think there is an R-type, H-type an DTM type-harder to find though-might be more expensive..

Yeah I would say it looks hot... all except for the muffler, but that's not why I was interested. I just wanted to buy it for the cat-back pipe, because there are plenty of mufflers that you could weld onto there. I'd definitely like to know how that fucker sounds once installed, though.

What size is the piping BTW?

In Japan there is one by HKS ($900) and another one by Tom's Barrel ($600-$800)

About that OBX one.. I would just change the TIP that thing is butt ugly.. the sound on that muffler is pretty OK but most shops with weld on another muffler to the axle back piping for $40-$50

i actually measured it and i looks to be about 2.5 inches! holy mama! I'm gonna get it installed tomorree at a muffler shop-i tried doin it myself, but the freakin cat bolts-totally rusted over-got PB blaster-iron bristles-wrenches-everything! nothing worked-so im gonna let the pros do it. yah-to be honest-i wouldve preferred a different tip or different end section-but hey, it was a great deal! anybody know who forza tuning is anyway? im thinking some sort of OBX sub-company perhaps...

who knows... i am interested to know how it sounds. i like the canister muffler but the tip is pretty whack... you could cut off the end of it and it would look better.

i think i figured out who Forza tuning is...they are a UK based auto performance company that OBX Racing tends to import their products and sell it under thier name...kinda like how IBM makes Apple computer chips. At least this is my understanding...

That second muffler looks pretty good, especially compared to the one that comes with the cat-back.
