how would you do your grille?

for the cleanest, most professional look, how would you install a custom grille for your car. keep in mind, there are no pre made grilles for my car available, so i am trying to get something that will look very, very clean. i dont want anything that looks bent or rusted, and any ideas would be appreciated.

    thanks all for your input

i need to grille and/or mesh all these holes!

but that isn't necessarily the "cleanest"

i guess the real question is do you want metal or plastic, and go from there.

yea, i was considering buying a grille for a matrix or 03 corolla and trimming it to fit front opening. but, again, that is very expensive for no reason.
i am still looking, i think i might be able to find some one who'll make custom grilles

If getting a matrix grill is too expensive, you can buy honeycomb composite sheets from Mcmaster:
    http://www.mcmaster.com/asp/DisplCt...cMMainWidth=716

1/4" should be thick enough? Might have to buy a full 2ft though (Make two grills, then sell one.. or honeycomb mesh something else).

They also sell aluminum diamond plate that make pretty cool industructable floor mats if you know what you're doing (just have to trace stock floormat and create a bend in the right place)

I think this is all on Vamp's site, but....

Use lath(e), it's a metal mesh, sold in the masonry section of home depot. I got a 6 foot strip about 6 inches wide for exactly $.75 It was kind of a bitch to cut, I actually got some nasty blisters from it. And I scratched some of my paint trying to wedge it in. Oh yeah, that stuff is very very sharp, watch your hands.

One year later, still no rust, looks as good as day one. When I had my car accident, the body shop was nice enough to salvage the mesh and even re-install it for me!!!
