    Headers for a 2001 Corolla

Does anyone know if there is such a thing as an aftermarket header for a 2001 corolla with the 1ZZ-FE engine? If so do you know a average price range?

there are a few places that have a header for our car, but nothing proven to be worthwhile yet.

stay away from OBX...that's all the other advice i can give you.

forgive my ignorance but whats wrong with OBX?

also here i have very crappy performance shops nearby, one of them is a mayor distributor of aerospeed parts, he said he can get me some headers from aerospeed but its probably bs cause i dun think aerospeed makes them also since he also told me i could get a shortram intake from aerospeed also, and guess... it wuz BS too :p .

I'll guess we'll have to wait for some worthwhile headers to come out.

OBX parts generally don't fit and are cheaply made (for the motor related parts...stuff like their extinguishers, shift knobs, etc are ok)...not to mention they may or may not have them in stock, and won't bother to tell you till like a month has gone by. on top of that. they might not send you what you order to begin with.

i've heard a LOT of horror stories about them.

when I called them about the status of my cold air intake, he said that right now it's still in the works, but will be available in the "near future"..... who knows how long that would be... I've been waiting for someone to make headers for the 2001 since... well 2001!!!

98-01....isn't the same vvt-i motors would have different headers than non-vvt-i.

And there was a guy trying to sell through a company that said they sold them, but we never got any proof that they actually fit

Please excuse my ignorance as I've only had my Corolla CE for 3 days now but is the 1ZZ-FE the stock engine? I'd be very interested in a header. Hell, header, cams, pistons, custom header for turbo, air intake, etc. Hell yeah.

The 1ZZ-FE engine is the original eninge on the newer corollas, I cannt remember the years. Then of course you have VVT-I or not.

    If you want a
    intake, go to www.optionsauto.com
    Internals for a 1ZZ-FE go to www.monkeywrenchracing.com

Thank you all for the new knowledge. I'm still in debt about $6k and now I've got links to get parts to modify it. I'm in deep trouble now. :)

Will do. This should give me enough to go through for a day or two and get together my price list, and order of which to do what in.
