i pretty sure you can get a turbo setup (hks) not s/c for the tC..... pretty sure because that's what was listed as "factory options" on the tc when i went to the sema/ias show and was one of the 2 tc's they were showing

I like the tC, good HP and TQ. The only issue I see is the 2900lbs. weight. V6 and 3S swaps should be possible. Anyone try fitting a 3S head on a 2AZ-FE block?

yeah, can't wait. i would seriously think about getting it if it's cheaper than 4.5k

btw, can't remember, is it a 5spd, or 6spd? i'm gonna assume 5 since the camry 2AZ is mated to a 5 spd

You could already find out what to do. Just go look at a 4-cylinder Camry.

Yah, you still could do the same. The Camry has the same engine the tC is going to have. So don't be surprised if engine parts are interchangable between the two.

different platform i believe. the intake most likely won't bolt on, and because it's a different platform, who knows bout the exhausts and headers.

so really, it's kinda from scratch until it comes out. I can't really htink of much for the 2AZ, except like i said earlier, i think ripp modds makes a sc for teh 2AZ, or maybe it's the 5S, i can't remember

Absolutely right. I forgot the tC was on the Avensis platform. Good call! Yeah, Ripp Modds makes a S/C for the 5S. I dunno about the 2AZ though.

Edit: For the money, i'd buy a GT-4 front clip instead.

the tc is retarded. it weighs almost as much as the camry and i belive uses the same 4 banger as the camry so why buy that when you can get a used solara v6 and have more power and more torque.

and then how much is a turbo gonna cost? like 6k? and im sure it wont add more than 50 hp. now youre at the price of an srt4 which would destroy the tc performance wise.

but yet for the price of either of those you can get yourself a nice used m3 and have a real performance car.

nah, tC doesn't weigh all that much, and solara V6 doesn't come in manual, along with the fact that it's more expensive.

plus, u could always get a tC, and do a V6 swap, should be almost straightforward. I"m thinking something along the lines of a 1MZ with SC in there would be sweet, or even a regular 3MZ. i think the S series should fit rather smoothly as well, if ya catch my drift ;)

turbo's don't cost over 6 grand and depending on how much boost you have it set to, determines how much power gain. I bet at 8 psi it would be making more than 50 hp extra.
