Just passed my first emissions test today...

My car should pass, but I decided to play it safe and dropped the front end so low that they couldn't get it on the dyno rollers. I'm good for two years now. Heh.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA....DERRICK!!! Your car is newer than 1995, so they dont put it on the treadmill anyways!!! You have ODB, right?....

    Treadmill Test (IM240)
1984 to 1995 model year vehicles weighing less than 10,000 pounds and 1996 or newer model year vehicles weighing between 8,501 and 9,999 pounds.

Your vehicle will be driven on a treadmill while the exhaust is collected and analyzed. The treadmill test is simple and safe, and usually takes less than four minutes to complete. The vehicle’s emissions are measured under a range of operating conditions including acceleration, deceleration, cruising and idle.

They dropped the treadmill test in early winter on cars later than 1996. Thats what I was told when I took my Passat in December.

WHen I took my 94 rolla in with its rims on, they bypassed the treadmill test for me.

my corolla has past 3 times, each time it gets flying colors, i don't get it. i would imagine the car would fail, it's in good condition, but it runs like crap sometimes.

last year they started with the obdII testing, i just had it done, all they do is hook it up to the computer and check under the car for a cat. then they pressure test your gas cap.

it's stupid, because if you fail, then you spend more then $400 to get your emissions system fixed and it fails again, you spend like $70 at the testing place and they will exempt you and you don't have to take it again.... it's in the brochure, i couldn't believe it

That's nice to know. Lol. Do you have a special fuel mapping for emmissions?

I'm sure he didn't.. I'm telling you.. the exhaust tone gets a lot smoother with the turbo on.. and mileage is slightly less than n/a ... I'm sure my old stafford kit would have passed as well.

as long as the car is tuned right, it will get good performance/emissions. the exhaust sounds soooo good :)
