    98-02 or 03+

I got a 93 rolla and almost done with sound system and outside, nothing like some of the guys here but my own thing you know just a nice corolla. But in the next couple of months I'm planning to get a newer rolla but I cant decide if to get a 98-02 or 03+. Which of them have better after market parts and which have more potential to upgrade engine (easier to find parts for in the US) and what you guys think is better turbo, NOS, or supercharger. not planning on racing but getting tired of people thinking they can woop my ass cause I drive a rolla.

IMHO, the best looking ones are 2001-2002 S models..I'm not a big fan of the '03 body style, but 03-04 have the TRD supercharger as an option. With 98-02s, you have to custom make your own turbo.

Out of the three options you listed, I'd prefer a turbocharger...I have nitrous now, but it needs refilling. :p

lol nice Cadet lol... man I'd say go for the 03+ (XRS!!! hehehe) since they have more aftermarket parts out there... I had a 98' and man it was extremely hard to find parts, so that's why I sold it... I plan to get another 98' once more parts come up... but good luck wit ur choice man...

IMO, i would go with the 01-02 models just like others have said......i just like the front end, not necessarily the body....the only thing i dont like is the rear end on any of the 98-02 models....unless of course you were planning on doing an IS300 conversion.........now as for the 03, i like these as well as long as they're the S types also if you get that trd grill put on it and some clean rims on it, that would just top it off, along with tinted windows....i dont think you would have to do much to an 03 model to make it look good, but of course the downside of the 03 model is that its so dayum fat....the 03 model looks like a bloated 01-02 model.....but i still like it...so basically anything 01 and up gets my approval

If you want a big aftermarket support. Get a 03+. I like it a lot better than my 00.

    Personally:

1ZZ: '03-'04 corolla (TRD s/c, more aftermarket support)
2ZZ: '01 Celica GTS (no drive-by-wire, aftermarket support is improving)

That's if you're looking to make it go fast.

The s/c is more fun, because of the instant boost and low-end torque it provides. For serious racing, a turbo will get you a lot farther in the long run with our engine. You said you weren't looking to seriously race, just prove that the Corolla isn't that slow, so the s/c would be a good option (and there are ways to mod it for more power).

You can use nitrous with either turbo or s/c, provided you've built and tuned your engine to withstand it. If not, your engine will literally blow up. Nitrous is the cheap and easy route to horsepower, but the problem is having to refill the tank as well as other safety and maintenance issues.
