That kit doesn't fit. I know several people who have bought it and it needed tons of custom work to make it fit. Stay away.

Custom is the way to go.

dr. tweak at your site i noticed you mentioned the TRD supercharger could fit the older corollas with some modifications? what kind of work would be needed and would it truly be worth it?

    that's a good idea aaron....

dr. tweak, i know you do alot of research and development for the 98-02 corollas...if you could find a way to get the TRD supercharger to fit then i'm sure you'd have PLENTY of business.

ey, tweak in the othe thread that i asked about a custom turbo, the pricing was pretty similar to that "bolt on" kit is there any difference performance wise?

The custom kit will be better.

As far as the supercharger, the engine is pretty much the same for the new Corollas, except that there's no VVTi on the '98 - '99. As far as what changes need to me made, the plumbing will be different, the hood might have some clearance issues, and the computer would most likely need a piggyback since I doubt the TRD chip will work with the older computers.

Is it worth it? At the price that I've seen some of the supercharger kits go for when on sale, for sure. However it would take some time for me to get it all running right because it hasn't been done before, that I know of. And if it has, I doubt they'll share what they did.

aaron, you're not too far away, so if you want to birng your car to me then I can get you hooked up, hopefully you do have some secondary transportation since it's won't be a really fast job.
