electrical system on corolla 93 DX is completely disable

    Hello,

I need help!!!. Last weekend I replaced the alternator on my 93 corolla. Before I removed the alternator, I forgot to disconnect the battery. It sparked on me and I thought it was OK. After the new alter installed, the electrical sytem was completely out. Checked fuses which located under the hood on the driver side and they were OK. I am actually looking for the main fuse in order to reset the electrical system for the whole car. Currently only emergency lights work and the rest is history. Does anyone know how to fix or where the main fuse on the car?

    Thanks for help.

check the relay boxes in the engine bay, then check the fuse panel inside the car. it sits under the left driver cubby box in most cars.

Saw the main fuse relay under the hood next to the battery. But how do I know the relay is good or bad. I checked all the fuses and they were OK. I also checked fuse pannel inside the car. Again they were OK also.

    Thanks for your help.

well... you have to take out the fuse box, unscrew it, change it (costs no more than 3$ (here anyways)) and try again

Thanks SaberJ2X. I'll try to replace the main engine relay in the fuse box.

SabberJ2X, I looked at the fuse box next to the battery and I did not see any fuse bolted down on the fuse box. I replaced the Engine Main relay which I thought it could be it; but it was not it. Any other ideas that where the main fuse can be for corolla 93 DX?

    Thanks
