why don't people leave you space?

i don't get it. today i was driving, i was driving my girlfriends car, she has a 97 corolla, it's an auto. this douche in a stupid older bonneville was right on my ass, i was on a steep hill too, at a stop light. if i had been driving my tC, i totally would have not been able to avoid rolling back into him, unless i used my ebrake.

there was no one behind him, he was like 40 years + old. we were at the light for a while, so i moved up a little, he moved up a little also, even closer. i rolled down my window and stuck my head out and stared at him for like 30 seconds, then the light turned green. he guns it passed me, only to stop at the next stop light, the same light that i stopped at.

i seriously don't understand people. this worries me, because i know that most people don't realize that a stick shift car can require a little space on hills, especially when the driver is newer at stick shift. when i come to a stop light and i know i will roll back slowly, if there is a car behind me, i let up on the brake and let the car roll back at least a foot, before they come within 10 feet of me, then i pull the car back up again, this sorta gives them a warning and so far has been effective.

it's like, at this point, i want to get a bumper sticker made, something along the lines of "i roll back on hills" something like that.
i'm just venting about it. sorry

yeah, the only problem with that is that i know the person i roll back into, will have some gay ass license plate holder with like barbed wire on it, my car will take the damage. scions have the crappiest clear on them

well haven't u noticed that grown ups drive worse than we do and they're always complainin on how we speed and all that shit when they do it more than we teenagers do it... f'ing ppl diz dayz man they suck!!!

Yea, but even automatics can roll back on certain hills, but I dont know why people do that type of shit its annoying as hell

I know the feeling to. I hate it also, i dont roll back on hills though, iv drivin standard for almost 3 years now so iv come used to quick switching to not roll back. That type of bumper sticker would cool as hell to have though. Only time i ride people myself is when its someone going 25-40 in a 45 or so. Cause that annoys the shit out of me when people drive lot slower than speed limit, expecially on wide open straight road.

Dude seriously! When I got my car and was learning how to drive it I was always scared about hills and rolling into people.

I was going to try to get a sticker that said "Stay off my ass, I drive a stick!" when I first learned but now I don't care and have the mindset that if they're on my tail then I'm getting a body kit

People like that are so rude. They think an inch is going to make them get from point a to b faster. So uncalled for.
