    That's bogus. Someone outside of the camera view is pressing the remote key.

    Modern cars use radio waves to open the doors, not infrared. Furthermore, each car would have a different code, so it is not plausible. The 6700 phones and the function that he is talking about doesn't even transmit signals. It is a menu screen that allows you to enable receiving beams. The keyboard option is not to send infrared signals.

    Do you honestly think car manufacturers are selling the car codes to PDA manufacturers? He made that number up. This has been busted on the Mythbusters forum.

    There are all sorts of hoaxes these days.
