We'll see... RWD and Toyota doesn't sound very promising.

it would be neat, but it would all depend on power options. i would much rather see a true awd model scion, but toyota will never do that.

they could take the is250 awd....rip out the all leather interior. slap a scion badge on it...get rid of the expensive addons..change some body panels

and you have a awd scion

but you are right, they will never do that

bear in mind that Toyota is supposedly reentering the WRC with an S2000 class Corolla. If you know about homogalation(sp?) rules, you know what that means....and I'm looking forward to it.:D

I wouldn't be surprised if they basically take a tC, change the bumpers and interior, put a new engine in, and then put it on the market. It'll still be FWD, tho.

si senor. Why do you think Suzuki put the SX4 on the market? It's an AWD 2.0L hatchback for under 16k. It's not exactly the same in the US as what they are going to be racing, but they've been selling like hotcakes around here....which leads me to believe an upgrade power pkg. may not be far behind for the US market. Also, look at the Euro Focus. We don't have the WRC inspired version here, but they've got it there. Nevermind their MSRP by the way, they've got mad taxation built into them.

    Remember the Celica AllTrac?? :D :D :D

Now I'm hoping Toyota tries to put a race car out so we can have the econo-version. :p

Ha! We can only hope.

And we SHOULD hope for something with a GE engine. No more FE econo-crap.

Ehh I would rather have RWD for the power that is (or is not rather) going to come in the car. :) I would not want AWD on a vehicle with less that 215+hp.

I sure hope they do this. We have wanted for a long time, and this may br squashed but seeing an actual concept image is a good thing. Why Toyota could you not have annouced this BEFORE I left you for Subaru?!

    :"( lol

I have a feeling that for the next 5 years at least, nothing but a Lexus will be released with a GE. poo.
