    Whats Your Input

Okay I've been with AAFES (Army and Air Force Exchange Service) well they have a good it not resonable way of letting the Military service members purchase new cars at reasonable prices.Well the thing is where I'm stationed at they only offer Ford and Dodge vehicles (respectively) since i really had not other choice of what i wanted i went ahead and locked in a 2008 Dodge Avenger R/T AWD for 24K out the door with everything except leather (i had leather on my previous vehicles and the heat just burned my ass and back) now the thing is a fully loaded one right now runs for about 26 to 27ish, the best part about it that if there are any rebates it goes down even lower on price and i stay locked in until delivery in Sep 08, now i can still pull out of it but the thing is i still want a Toyota and want i want i don't know but i still want one. I'm trying to decide if i should hold on until almost delivery or just pull back right now. i got unitll september of next year. what do you all think.BTW the nearest place i could go to would have to be Guam to get a Toyota or Lexus vehicle with the AAFES Military Purchase Plan.

I forgot to mention the "out the door price" includes tax, title and liscense and everything else involved in Texas

That's a really sweet deal but I would wait until you can get what you really want. Is this a limited time deal?

I wouldn't want a Dodge. But whatever floats your boat.

That sounds like a pretty decent deal - but I would only jump in if you really like the Dodge. As you will have it for some time. No sense in buying something that you don't really like, even if you are getting one hell of a deal. Couple of my friends in the service heading overeas did something similar, but with Harley-Davidson bikes. Got a lot better price than someone off the street - plus you can take delivery once you get back stateside.

Dodge is not a bad car - if you like the design of the car. Plus Dodge SRT (Mopar performance) will have much better selection of performance parts than most others. Even compared to Lexus or other Toyotas - at least for right now.

i like the design, but performance is not what im going for , i'm just going to use my Corolla or BMW for that , this new vehicle I will get is just going to stay stock.I may pull out and transfer to buy a Toyota or Lexus. Yeah i know about the delivery in the states. I'm just worried about the reliability of the engine/tranny. The 3.2 in the R/T is the only one that has the least amount of problems overall.the 6-spd auto is new to the lineup. Some time either today or tomorrow im going to contact AK Kroll in Guam and speak to a representative.
