The 330HP SEMA show car does not have the 2.4L (158HP) four banger - that one has the 3.5L V6 (268HP).

Even so - that was a one off SEMA special for the Camry. TRD may support the Toyota Aurion oversea first and possibly support the Camry in North America. Just not enough demand for higher performance Toyotas.

the Aurion is way too small for it to be fitted with the 3.5 from the camry the new aurion has a short front end,i highly doubt that will ever happen.

Man when the camry came out with the 3.5L V6 pushing 268, I instantly dreamed of 6 spd manual witha trd s.c kit...

Then I woke up, shook off the groggyness, and realized that Toyota just isn't interested in performance 'cars' . So I bought a Subaru....Tired of waiting. :/

well see the thing is Toyota is interested but its the problem of shipping them to the U.S. and having the american public accepting the vehicle. Over here Toyota has so much stuff for all types of cars and building them is relatively easy but since some parts are not to U.S. spec they won't bring them over here.as some people say if they had a higher request they may just send them over here, but its highly doubtful.

The 2GR-FE produces some very healthy numbers from the factory paired with an automatic, it's a shame that Toyota is still dealing with the transmission flare problem. Now a properly tuned SC setup on the V6 would be interesting...
