    Road Trip

Taking my car on a 1000 mile road trip to omaha to visit some family. i dont know if anyone has taken a corolla on a road trip, care to share your horror stories?

why do i have to drive? well i have to drive because im too young to rent and dont want to be cramped in a farm house all day, im a city kid and they dont have internet.

when do you think my car will break down? haha im paranoid

lol... paranoid is different from being prepared... i have been on a road trip with a 4runner from tx to cali... what i hated was the bugz...

also on our way back, we came across a really bad storm. picture this... it was at night and lightning literally lit up the night... and rain pouring like there is no tomorrow... imo that was the most dangerous part of our trip... some 18 wheelers wouldnt even slow down... etc...

    some tips:
stop driving when you get drowsy
dont push your car too much
    and check your spare :D

i recently drove my car about 1100 miles last week. you cant really compare all corollas because all of our cars are in different conditions.

Long road trips are easier with stock wheels/stock sized tires. 45-series tires suck for long drives. Blown struts suck for long drives, too.

Drove from Delaware to Niagara Falls on a lowered corolla with a loud exhaust, blown struts and no working wipers and running a 205/40/17 tires with no problems.

Just make sure that you carry some Rain-X, saved my life on the drive up when the sky just opened up and dumped a torrent of rain on me. Then check the fluids, air pressure and you should be good
