    intake help..

i got my weapon r secret weapon intake today.
i'm trying to install this now.. but i'm having a little problem..
on the oem intake box there's teh maf sensor and also this tube connected to it..
when installing the intake the instructions says taht u should change the oem tube with the tube they sent..
but the oem tube was connected to the air filter box with another part...
when i change the tube do i need to leave this part out?
if u guys can help me now that would be great..cuz my car is out side without a filter.. :D

no, you have to relocate 3 items: 1) MAF sensor, 2) vacuum switching sensor, 3) air temperature control. I can try to scan some instructions later if needed.

sorry for the quality of the pics my camera is broken so i used my phone..
    ok...
see pic above one of the hole is for the maf sensor the other hole (white arrow) is connected with a part thru a tube
    [IMG]
see the red arrow that's where the tube is connected too and the blue arrow taht part is connected to the filter box(1st pic white arrow)
this part connected to another cable...
so i'm confused..cuz the instruction tells me to swap the oem tube with their tube that they supplied to me..when i do this should i leave the part alone and just use the tube?

well let me know how it turns out, if you can't get it going tonight take some pictures in the light tomorrow, but I think you will have it going tonight, don't forget to disconnect your battery for 5-10 minutes.

So I take it that everything went ok and you happily driving your car with a new intake

ya, that might be a problem, doesn't fit either way you turn it? does the hole need to be bigger? might need to either send it back and get an Injen intake or get a new weapon R

No problem maybe you should see what the return policy is with the company you bought it from, and pick up an Injen intake. I was thinkin about buying Weapon R before, but I found Injen and they had a picture of the intake installed and that did it for me. An SRI is an SRI in my opinion.
