    what wheels?

so its either im getting tired of seeing my skinny 155/80/13 tires or i just want new wheels. i dont want to buy new wheels that look sporty because i want to be a sleeper. and plus, what are racing wheels for when i have under 100hp :superconf

so here is what i thought:
option 1 = keep my wheels get better tires [175/70/13]
option 2 = try to get my hands on stock corolla/camry 14/15's
option 3 = use 14's black steelies laying in the garrage

the reason why id keep the wheels or think about buying stock corolla/camry wheels is cuz stock just looks good <period>

here is a look on my setup right now:

    im on 13s :[

    edit:
i dont want to get too big tires/wheels because if i did, my tiny, little, less than 100hp engine will have a hard time speeding up in the freeway. and we all know thats not fun.

yea, a car that small would be okay on 15s. Add a drop and you'd be set. Im sure there are interchangeable suspension parts from another car that you could shop for....like for my civic, there are rsx suspension parts that will fit..

I believe the OEM Camry and Corolla wheels that are in a 4 lug configuration are 14" in diameter with a 185/60-14 tire size. May not sound like a big jump from a 13" wheel to a 14" wheel, but you can get quite a few performance tires in this size or jump up to a PLUS+0 from this size, a 195/55-14 and still retain close to the same tire circumference (speedo will not be off).

A 60 series or 55 series tire will be a HUGE difference in performance compared to your OEM 80 series tire and they aren't terrible too wide either. If you jump to a 16" wheel with a 205 width tire compared to the 155 width you have now - even if they are lightweight, will be a lot more work for that engine. On the plus side, sticking with a 14" upgrade, wheels and tires are CHEAP. Brand new tires skins will only set you back $30-$50 a piece vs $80-$200 a piece for 16" ones. Not sure on road conditions where you live, but with a 60 or 55 series tire, you can rock right through most road hazards and potholes and not have to worry about bent wheels. I still managed to bend two forged 16" wheels on a 45 series tires on decent roads - so I switched back to a lightweight 14" wheel.

YES! keeping the speedo right and not going passed 55 are both in my mind. dont get me wrong, we do have good roads here at houston but most are like the rocky mountains.

so i have decided to get 14/15 OEMs and either go with 55's or 60's (depending on what wheel size i get).

Thank you for all who posted and voted! I will keep you guys posted
