The best wheel cleaner I've ever used.

Well yesterday I decided to wash the truck since its been MONTHS since the last car wash.

I went to Advanced Auto Parts and picked these up..

    http://www.meguiars.com/?wheel-care/Hot-Rims-All-Wheel-Cleaner
    http://www.meguiars.com/?car-washes/Gold-Class-Car-Wash-Shampoo-Conditioner

Its Meguiars all wheel cleaner and wash shampoo and conditioner. I bought it because the last time the stock rims were dirty, it took me forever to clean them with just soap and water. and plus i needed something new for hte soap.

I sprayed the wheel cleaner on and i scrubbed it within 30 seconds and BAM! CLEAN ASS WHEELS!! Never in my life has this been so easy! lol. And let me say that those rims were extremely dirty! After I cleaned the wheels I washed the car with the new car wash soap. THAT thing is amazing as hell! It left my car looking like it was brand new! And most times when I wash a car, when it dries it will leave some water marks..but this time as I was taking my time drying it, it came to a point where part of the car was dry and there where no marks anywhere!

I suggest you get the wheel cleaner if your rims really get dirty! Now I gotta wash the camry. Another fun weekend coming up! lol.

+1 on the Gold class. The water literally sheets off, leaving a dry and clean surface behind. No beading.

That plus two buckets and a good quality lambswool mitt is what I use to keep mine from getting marred with those damn microscratch spiderweb swirlies.

I have never used wheel cleaner before but I guess I could try it this time around. I usually just wipe my wheels down n thats that. Im crazy about tire cleaner though. I've tried so many different tire cleaner products out there. The best tire cleaning product I have ever used, by far, would be Armor All Extreme Shine Gel (not the spray). We got a box of 20 free samples from my dad's work and the sample packets arent that big...you even have some left over in the end. Anyways, you don't use a whole bunch but it does take time and patience to apply onto your tires. You know exactly where you apply the product since its a gel and it lasts for a very very long time. After two weeks, plus rain, my tires were still jet black shiny...

I have the older Hot Wheels cleaner. I never used it after I heard it could be corrosive to painted aftermarket wheels. If I can be sure that it won't eat away the paint, then I'll use it...

this wheel cleaner is not to make the tire shine. its to clean the dirt off the wheel itself. To make the tire shine, I always use black magic

Not sure about aftermarket rims..it does say its safe to use on all stock wheels. I'd have to look on the bottle though.

I kno, thats why im sayin ive never used wheel cleaner, only tire cleaner cuz I usually just wipe down my wheels. That black magic stuff is great and all but it doesnt last as long as the armor all gel and it gets everywhere too..

Oh ok. I never used a gel. I'm sure that would last longer. The only thing I don't like about black magic is that once its on your clothes, kiss it good bye..lol. Oh and it also smells good..lol.

I just stick to Simple green for things like Tar and brake dust burns and use meguiars the rest of the way from Bumper to Bumper top to Bottom.
