    Rim adapters

Whats up guys, im new to the site.

Im thinking about buying a 2000 Camry, and I was wondering if I could put the rims from my old car (1988 BMW 735i) onto the Camry with adapters for the bolt patterns.

Im pretty sure the bolt patterns are:
BMW: Offset: +18mm Bolt Pattern: 5-120
Camry: Offset: +40mm Bolt Pattern: 5-114

Do you guys know of a good website to buy spacers off of, if there is such thing for this application?

    Thanks in advance,
    Drew

those adapters are really expensive. It's around $60-100 a piece. I don't think it's worth it.

^on top of that, ive heard that those adapters make your wheel look like its popping out the side as if the wheel was too wide...

It would depending on the thickness. No matter what its gonna make it wider. Its basically a spacer as well.

A machine shop might be able to make spacers for you, if you run out of options. The H&R design doesn't look like it would be all that hard to fabricate.

This won't work - going the wrong way, given the offsets are correct and wheel width is similar.

Fitting Camry wheels to the BMW - then spacers would work since a 40mm offset wheel fitment will be pushed IN 22mm too far, just need to push the wheel OUT.

Fitting the BMW wheel to the Camry - even with the same bolt pattern, the offset automatically makes it stick OUT 22mm too far. Cannot correct that with a spacer, have to modify the hub itself because the wheel needs to come IN. Car would look more like a open wheel car, with the wheels out that far.

Though, this could justify a wide bodykit :D Short answer - wheels offsets listed will not work, going from the 18mm BWM to the 40mm Camry.
