Throw out some suggestions.....

Well this isnt a corolla board anymore...its an all toyota board now isnt it? Thats why the name changed to stop the dispute between vvt-i and vvti.

I'm all for merging with vvti.net and corolla-racing.com. Why not have just one huge board? It'll be like toyotanation.com, just cooler.

I say try to expand this site, and not merge it with another one for the time being. It'll just create more confusion to users.

How to improve it? That is a good question!

Not a bad idea. I would like to see more trucks and celicas, etc on the board too, just to help balance things out a bit.

Glad to know I'm not fired in this "hostile" corporate takeover. lol

I think we're heading the right direction, we just need a way to attract more users and if we did merge with vvti.net (someday lol) we could certainly make the board much better and interesting.

Yea, merge with other forums that will fill the gap between different type of cars. Thats a good idea. We have plenty of Corolla owners, (plenty of non-Corolla owners)...and other than the handful of truck people and camry's, that seems to be about it. I suggest talking with Scion boards, Celica boards, Tundra and Tacoma boards, Camry boards, etc. Having more Corolla's from other Corolla boards isnt a bad idea either but for a site to be named "trdforums" and not have much along the lines of diversity amongst Toyota's isnt saying much for the board's sake.

One thing I don't like about some of the other boards out there is that some of the people make the board seem unenjoyable with their negative posts/replies. If there is a "mass merge", I suggest a mandatory probationary period of 50 posts to where if a member gets out of line within those 50 posts, their registration is terminated and IP address logged. To see a forum gone array, look at break.com cuz I mean just viewing some of their comments for videos makes some of their members presence on those boards pointless. I dont know how feasible the above will be but hey, its a suggestion.

Another thing, if ever possible, we should get forum sponsors. Honda-Tech.com has a ton of supporters and their forum is widely known. Their members get special group buy discounts, forum membership discounts from sponsors, etc.

I think if we merge with other websites, their sponsor should move with them right?

i know newcelica.org has some sponsors on their board like edgeracing.

im with the others, i think we should merge with different toyota forums, but i wouldnt do it in one big rush, then it would get really crazy around here really fastand there wouldnt be enough mods, remember, the more people there are we're most likely gonna need more mods, do it little by little and slowly take over the toyota world!! be nice of toyota themselves would sponsor us...

there isnt much to change around here until traffic increases substantially... it seems pretty homely and nice around here. friendly banter between members and nobody (but me) really sticks out as the asshole of the board.

merging seems to be an option, but lets start with all the satellite sites that branched out after cthree went down... with that we could build a solid member base again. i think the issue with david is that he is out some money as well and he wants to recoup all hes lost...

I can't say I blame him but $500 for a domain and database (that hardly anyone uses nowdays) is steep. Maybe the vbull price is added into the list as I understand its expensive.

The other thing is that I don't see much point in merging with the other VVTi.net because it seems so much of it is the same stuff. Its just with different users on occasion. If anything one of the sites should just close shop. I think it should be his since he's never really there and hasn't updated it since 04'. Some of the C3 people are still around but It doesn't seem like enough (for me) to attain the memberlist from the other site. So many people have just moved on to other things.

Off topic... We should start a thread to remember the C3 days. Its cool to look back on that stuff.
