piston isn't sliding smooth in the caliper perhaps?

using up more gas than usual? perhaps it is a sensor such as the O2 sensor.

Is the clug sound coming from the firewall? Does the brake pedal feel different than usual? If so, it may be your master cylnider but the fIrst thing you should is flush your brake system before anything else, cheapest to do and could solve your problems and would be a good investment if you haven't done it yet.

swaped in a 4AFE w/ only 4000km on it at around 450,000km... got a sweet deal for 4AFE thats y or else its still the original engine but the tranny, suspension, exhaust other than the header cuz it cracked like most of the 93-97 corollas is all originial stuff... just put in a new alternator in december... my car i'm technically the first owner cuz the previous owner b4 drove it less than few months than went back to hk and sold the car for cheap...
