    04 Corolla cat-back Exhaust

I've finally started throwing some bolt ons onto my car, have the TRD CAI and trying to decide what kind of cat-back exhaust to go with. If I were back home I'd have a custom job done but 'round here i don't know/trust anyone with my car. I've looked at Borla and a couple of others( only stats I found were hp-gain ranges(like 5-50, huge range) and loudness), but I don't really care too much about how good they sound just how much hp I gain. Anybody know what bolt-on exhaust has the most gain with the 1zz? disregard price, I've got alot of money saved up :D

As far as I know, an exhaust is an exhaust -- there's not much to do with a Corolla..nowhere near as many options for..say, a Mustang GT.

Mine (custom) is 2.25" exhaust piping with several small bends (only two or three, I think), a resonator, and a straight-through muffler. Unfortunately, you're not going to make much more power with an exhaust...but your best bet would probably be any mandrel bent setup with a straight-through muffler.

That's what I was thinkin, had custom jobs on all my cars, ALOT cheaper that bolt on exhausts as I've found out, just have to find a good muffler shop... don't like other people touching my car

yeah go custom. a lot cheaper and performance should be there even if we're not mustang's owner. I read it was approx. 10-15% more HP at the flywheel, dunno about torque.
