    Reinventing the Bicycle

    Check out this bike - totally nuts if you ask me. Supposed to keep up with traffic - can get it up to 50MPH according to the site. I'd like to see someone get that up to 50MPH!

    I understand that the gear by which the lever and handle is connected to is significantly smaller than the gear on the wheel giving you a greater mechanical advantage but sh*t, I bet your arms burn like hell once you reach 50...if you reach 50...

    I see it as a shift to something better eventually... it's a stop gap for me, I wouldn't get it as is... too cumbersome(sp?)

    powering with the arms, will eventually go, even the inventor can't drive it, ffs..., and the probably the person will get more of a hanged feel... and shifted like this \ or more....
    I dunno... I see it as a good idea gone wrong somewhere in his R&D, it isn't really user friendly

    my question is where would you store it...i mean, 8ft diameter wheels, i dont think thats gonna fit in a garage, and most people wont wanna leave something like that outside, lol
