    Ebay Scam

Ran into a new ebay scam today.....not sure if its a new scam, or just the first time Ive heard about it.

I put a bid on three seperate XBOX 360 lots...I won one of them and paid immediately. Talked to the seller, everything is set, etc.

About 5 hours later I got a few emails....really well done. Offering second chance offer. One for each Xbox lot I had bid on. One of them was even the one that I won, and already paid for.

I checked the "contact seller" link, and it was all the same email address.
    Forward this stuff to spoof@ebay.com

The way to verify that it is legitimate is if you have an email in your MY EBAY message list.

"Second Chance Offer - Buy the Item You Recently Bid On

As the internet evolves, eBay continues to strike a balance between preserving transparency and protecting our Community of members. eBay has decided to change how bid history information is displayed so bad guys cannot target bidders with fake offers using this information. In certain cases, some bidders will no longer be able to view Bidder User IDs on the Bid History page. Your User ID will be shown only to you and the seller of the item you're bidding on. Other members will see an anonymous name, such as Bidder 1, applied consistently to the Bid History page. You can buy with confidence using new eBay System, also you will know when you have received a legitimate Second Chance Offer.

    Second Chance Offer

The seller, is making this Second Chance Offer because the high bidder was either unable to complete the transaction or the seller has a duplicate item for sale.

The selling of this item through Second Chance Offer is in compliance with eBay policy; you will be able to exchange Feedback with the seller and will be eligible for all eBay services associated with a transaction, such as fraud protection.

Act Now - This Offer Expires Soon

To take advantage of this opportunity, please act quickly.
For more details contact eBay Department here.

You may purchase this item by clicking the "Buy It Now" button.

To ask the seller a question before completing this purchase, please " Contact The Seller".
