would an auto repair shop normally have steelies and be able to put em on the tire for me? im trying to just do that instead of having to order it online and pay for the shipping.

    I think 15" steel is around 16-18lbs, 14" is around 14-15lbs.

They would more than likely have to order them for you... but they could put them on...

Just talked to tire rack, they're 18.4 lbs....but they're outta stock for 15"s.....they'll have them by NEXT winter...urgh.

anyway, i think by next winter i'd rather save up for lightweight wheels (SSR's are on my wish list).

Discount Tire. I know that the one by me has tons and tons of steelies. They also do price matching with Tirerack or any online/retail store price so do your homework ;)

Steelies aren't light. If a 15" steelie was 14-15 lbs. it would be in the same weight category as many of the cheaper lightweight aftermarket rims.

18.4 sounds about right. I weighed mine when I had them and my 14" ones were 19 lbs.

Junkyard perhaps? steelies do the job , but knowing me i'd damage them pretty quickly, 18.5 it heavy but them again the current weight of the ones i have right now are only 20 lbs , you know you can get some rims off of a Saturn 4-lug right? they will fit with no problems and i think a Civic but i can't be too sure.

intresting VB ur 17 's weigh more than my 18's and not much more considering how thin my tires are.

i'll take my chances, unless it gets rainy then i switch t steelies simply beacuse its a bitch to remove the scum off the rims from all the rain.

    Civic steelies should fit.

There should be a TON of wrecked corollas / civics around. Just call your local junkyard.

195/55R15 is the current size setup he is using on his 01 rolla LE, he says the only bad thing is that the car is way substantially lower than he expected. and it already low enough.
