I wanted to smoke my tails for the longest time but I havent found time to do so. I hope they are somewhat real dark for my Indigo Ink

hey everyone.. yeah so i met up Andrew today and he put on the vinly overlay kits he has for our cars.. I must say the quality is excellent and it adds a great custom look to our corollas. .He has a couple of other ideas that he wants to do with our cars. I Think he tried to join this forum but couldnt get a registration confirmation. Anyways one thing I particularly liked was his smoked headlights. LOOKS GREAT. I took some pics but i'll post them once he gets his links up and I get more information from him.

I am interested to know if tint paint is available in US? This paint is permanent and comes in an aerosol spray can and is specially for painting the inside of tail lights to give a tinted smoked look. Have you got this and if you do is there a reason why no one here is using it?

The tint is available here. Check on ebay and search under "spray tint" I used it on my headlights to tint out the amber side markers. Many people have used it to tint thier tails.

A good brand for this is called "Nite Shades" Lots of people use it to tint the tail lights and other lights and stuff around thier car.

hey.. sorry everyone for hte slow responses. Andrew tried registering for this site but for some reason cant get his account activated. I have contacted the moderators who helped me forward it to methane the adminstrator. So hopefully the problem will be resolved and Andrew cna post his info and pics of the kits. I'll post my pics as soon as i get permission.

I've emailed Methane about it, im just waiting for a response from him and everything should be taken care of. 8)

also for refereance the spray tint it sprayed on the outside of the lens NOT the inside. The reason most ppl dont use it is because it peels over time, so it must be maintiained.

I used apray tint to make the tails on my Audi 5000 ALL red. They usually are red on bottom, orange on top just like th eolder accords. But now they are all read. I guess the Euro 5000 had them like that so I could be considered EDM

If you apply a layer of clear coat to it, then it shouldn't peel. The clear coat will also give the tint a shiny appearance so it won't look dull.

clear coat helps, but every time I have done it to other cars it peeled. Not right away, but it still needed to be fixed every 6 months or so. Mabey its the road salt inthe winter here, who knows.

Either way the Vinyl I think would be a better idea. It will always look the same.

He has done some awesome work on matrixes and celicas. I cant find a taillamp that I like yet. They all kinda look cheap and dont go well. This will bring the exterior closer to an end for me. Just a body kit now. So i will post pics as soon as I have them too. Oh and I have been buggin him about letting me know prices but still no responce on that either
