    noise...

i just replaced all of my tires/wheels because:

    • 40 profiles are too thin

    • 2 wheels were bent and making my steering wheel vibrate
I would hear some noise in the rear passenger side whenever the car is moving. I am not completely sure what it is but the closest i can describe the noise to is that it sounds like the up and down sound of a railroad moving.
I thought replacing the tires/wheels would remove this since I know I had a bent wheel placed in the rear passenger side of the car...but no :superconf
Is it maybe the strut? Somewhere rubbing in the inside fender maybe? It's only on that side, no where else. I 'm just paranoid because I don't want the tire blowing on me because of too much rubbing (if it is rubbing with the tires at all).

my first thought was suspension because it only happens when you move. try taking the wheels off and inspect the suspension to see if you can find anything. Also ensure everything is tightened up (bolts and what not).

i might ghost ride the car down my block and just walk beside that specific tire... lol. i'm thinking the strut might be loosely bolted?? or highly unlikely.. i'm thinking if it was tire rubbing with the base of the strut (whatever you call the part where it supports the springs) it should be louder ESPECIALLY at highway speeds.

ditto, i think it might be wheel bearing...if its loud humming or whining sound then its the bearing. or you can check by jack up your car and move your wheel back and forth or left and right (not spin the wheel) if it did move (like wobbling) then is the bearing.
