    New Jobs

Hey guys, I'm in a bit of a hole. Im planning to quit my current job to find a new one because they are not giving me a lot of hours to work. I need the money for my car and more imporantantly college. Do you guys know where they are hiring at the moment? At the moment, I really dont care what kind of job it is, I just dont want to ask for money from anyone. Thanks

I know it sounds like a bad idea, but you should get a job at Starbucks.
I worked there for three years and I liked it. You start at 25 cents over minimum wage
plus about $2.50 an hour in tips. If you are able to work 20 hours a week, you get
medical/dental benefits. They are always hiring, especially in So Cal because summertime is coming.

Try to find a job with a company that relates to what your going to school for. Anywhere in the company, even if its low level. This is valuable when you are graduating and sets you ahead of the other graduates. I worked at a printing company for 4 years while I went to school for Graphic Design. The company I work for was highly impressed at the amount of experience I had working at a printing company and hired me because of that. I didnt tell them that three years of that I drove a fork lift. You would be supprised how much knowledge you pick up even doing jobs in the work place that dont deal with what you are going to school for.

What are u qualified to do? Or you just want a typical college job? Could always try some car place or something, one of my friends works at a lexus dealership as high school student.

Car place huh, how the heck did he get a job like that. Well, my qualifications, lets see, i guess the most impressive one is my communication skills, but not alot of people would hire a teenager these days unless they want fast food jobs, which im even thinking about these days.

I've been working for best buy for a little over a year and a half, it's actually been pretty good... they hired me at a lot more than minimum wage, i'll say that much... plus if you can sell, they give you more hours and stuff.

heard some bad things bout best buy jobs too, but if u like retail environment its alright. i worked at brookstone before, it was tiring putting up with rich, snobby ppl or old ppl, just seeing them blowing money on useless stuff.
