thought they were killing the celica? well it uses the same engine as the celica now, looks like a 350z with the familiar celica front. cant read japanese but does it say its a celica? maybe something else or there not killing the celica over there.

I think it looks a lot like the Scion tC. Maybe that's what they're marketing it as in Japan?

i read from 2003corolla.org that the tC is suppose to replace the celica

That would suck especially since we don't get scions in Canada...That would mean the only sport car toyota would have would be the Corolla XRS???

i think canada only get the Scion tC and celica & MR-S will still be available in asia...

i read this in the SPEED magazine along time ago...they had the same concept art drawing as that celica... it will have a much meatier engine..and an overall big jump in performance and style...BUT that info was along time ago...the whole celica wipe out thing could definitly prove that this was all just a thought...

they got tons of rumors out there.. u hav to wait till the actual concept car comes out like the Toyota's Volta which now they said they are building...

Yeah I think the volta is actually quite unappealing visually... and the whole electric motor added is kinda wierd...

on vacation we went to a toyota dealership near st augustine and they had a decked out celica. the sticker on it was 28 thousand. what the hell is toyota thinking?

never buy used cars from toyota cuz they rasie there prices pretty high imo... cuz i've seen 93-97rolla sell for $9000cdn at a local toyota dealer near my house....

well if that is true that is good for toyotas. they have high resale values. at honda we have 00 civic ex's for like 11k. i was like wtf. and people by them. we have a mustang gt from 01 and its 10500 and we can't sell it.

Yes, that is true. My 04 Corolla S lost only $3000 Canadian in 15 months after I drove it off the lot ( I got it appraised last month for trade-in). Comparatively, a Ford Focus or Cavalier lose $7000-$8000 in their first year.

North America will not get the 8th gen celica. However, worldwide..celica will continue in production. The izz and 2zz aren't going to be used anymore. Obvioulsy the 2az will be used. Also, Canada might get the TC under toyota bading (as what other coutires got xa and xb as). Thats the rumors i've heard.

why dont they make the corolla xrs a coupe? even a convertible at that... that would be awesome.... well scratch the convertible but a coupe would be awesome though
