I want to work on some electrical stuff at home. I dont wanna do everything in the car. It's not roomy and comfy at all. How do you guys get 12V DC at home? Any specific tool?

The PC supply is not a bad idea ( I use one ) I would try to find an older model ( one that had a manual power switch) If there is a short or overload they simply shut down and can be reset by unplugging and re-power.

    sx: yellow is 12v.

If you have a newer computer power supply you'd like to use, you just have to short 2 of the pins (I forget which two, but I'm sure you can google the answer) on the large 20-pin connector.

Getting a ac-dc converter that puts out 12v should be easy, I know Radioscrap even sells one that has the car adapter jack in it, so you just plug your regular dc plug into it and you get your 12v power...
