drop + snow storm = problems?

ok, im getting jelous of my friends having dropped cars... in fact, my friend from 9th gen (gjdeyro) is gonna come over to my crib on the 15th to install his s-techs on his xrs...

im thinking about getting the dropzone spring/shock set... i remember seeing a thread here saying that the said set is not bad... plus it comes with lifetime warranty... i dont want to drop with stock shocks coz i dont want to bust them later and have a car bounce crazy...

im just worried about getting stuck in the winter when there's a snow storm... are the chance of me getting stuck in snow will increase once my car is dropped? or would it be the same...

    thanks in advance...

eh shouldent change much.... if those are adjustables.. (not sure if they are or not) just lift your car back up in the winter... if not you can eather just swap out to your stockers once in the winter, (new struts and springs is awsome cause you don't have to take your old ones apart if you get all the pieses that would stay stock once you decide to swap out (pillow ball mounts, things like that) or you can just do like me and plow your street when it snows.. :)

Its an inch and a half...... whatever amount of snow your car could handle without a drop, just take that number and subtract 1.5 inches. Simple.

Anything over 6 inches, it wont matter anyways

ya i agree with e-andree, if its basically like whatever clearance ur car can handle it can go, maybe a half an inch over ur clearance... In my case i got the trd springs, its like a 1.3 inch drop, but i bought new blizzaks on my stock steelies, these things rim through snow like crazy, i road through snow that was i think an inch higher then my bumper with no skidding wats so ever.... granted its not a good idea but oh well.

I had my Corolla lowered 1.3 inches on all season tires last winter... no issues whatsoever... it was still a little tank in the snow... even storms...

should i get the coilover kit instead? so i can lift it up in the winter, then drop it after the snow?

when we had that one snow storm of 8 inches to a foot, i was getting stuck everytime i stop...when i try to move, the car would just rev really high and move slowly... could it be the tires? coz i didnt put the steelies back on... i still used my rims...

the city dont plow the side streets here in chicago... if ever they do, its too late already...

Snow tires make a world of difference. I got stuck in a almost-level driveway with Dunlop summer tires...car could practically go anywhere once we put a set of snows on. 1.8" drop..no problems this winter, though we didn't get much snow at all.

Definitely get a good set of winter tires if you are worried about getting stuck... that will affect your car's winter drivability alot more than 1~2" of drop would...
