is it as easy as snapping on all the wirings? or do i have to lay down a new set of wires for the tachometer? or is there one already?

There are about 4-5 screws ? and 1 plug. All the inputs/wiring are ready to go, Just plug in the new assembly. CW

Very easy swap, plug and play. But if you are keeping your odo (i guess you are), then you need to unscrew your old speedometer and swap it to the new one.

If your odometer is digital, then the reading is stored in the ECU. I believe the 98 and later corollas have a digital odometer, but don't quote me on the exact year.

The 93-97 corollas have a normal analog odometer, so the only record of your mileage is the odometer reading itself. I've never heard of anyone switching just the odometer numbers though. How would you do that? Most people on here who switch their clusters end up rolling the miles back by hand, which can take you a while.

Update on this: When trying to change the mileage on the new cluster to your car's actual mileage, do you really have to swap the odometer?

yes... i did the swap myself... you actually have to swap the ODO part of the cluster.
