    Clearing emblem...

What's the heat tolerance of the paint on the corolla?

I guess the question would be, how long should I be pointing the blowdryer on the emblem before my paint starts to peel...

Or should I just run a thread wire in-between the emblem and do some brute-force technique...

    Thanks!

I used a heatgun at the lowest setting, and went back and forth on the emblem, then take dental floss and cut through the glue that holds the emblem on. The glue will soften way before the paint gets damaged from the heat. Feel the paint on a hot day, it can take a lot, but don't go overboard.

Then comes the fun part, getting the remains of the glue off. I just used my finger and goo-gone to remove it.

Looks much cleaner don't you think? The emblems were a piece of cake versus taking off the side moldings....that was a total PITA.
